WATCH: Bishop Michael Curry's Royal Wedding Sermon

Bishop Michael Curry, presiding bishop of the American Episcopal Church, delivered the sermon at the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on Saturday, focusing on God as a source of love — and justice.

He said, in part:

When love is the way, we will let justice roll down like a mighty stream and righteousness like an ever-flowing brook. When love is the way, poverty will become history. When love is the way, the Earth will be a sanctuary. When love is the way, we will lay down our swords and shields, down by the riverside to study war no more. When love is the way, there's plenty good room — plenty good room — for all God's children. And when love is the way, we actually treat eachother, well, like we are actually family. When love is the way, we know that God is the source of us all, and we are brothers and sisters, children of God.

Curry is one of the two dozen elders of the Christian church who have issued the Reclaiming Jesus statement, marking a new confession of faith "in a time of crisis." Curry, Sojourners President Jim Wallis, and other elders will preach at National City Christian Church in Washington, D.C., on Thursday, May 24 before processing to the White House for a candlelight vigil and to deliver the statement.
